Job summary

St. David’s Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, invites applications for a Nurse Manager Emergency Services. Lead the emergency department clinical and financial outcomes, directing unit operations and staff in a fast-paced environment in Austin, TX.

You will partner with nursing leadership to ensure high-quality patient care and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in nurse leadership, a BSN, and certifications in ACLS and BLS, with TX licensing requirements met.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years as a Charge Nurse, Care Coordinator, or Supervisor
  • Documented leadership, management, communication & interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification (BCLS)
  • NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
  • Registered Nurse license in Texas. If Compact License, Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Nursing Manager will be responsible for the clinical and financial outcomes of designated clinical unit/units. Acts as a representative of the Director of Nursing and Administration. Collaborates with Director of Nursing and Nursing Unit Supervisor in ensuring competent, cost effective patient care.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Documented experience demonstrating leadership, management, communication & interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
