Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse leader to oversee patient care within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act. You will delegate, coordinate, and support licensed and ancillary team members to ensure high-quality outcomes while maintaining cultural sensitivity and adherence to standards.

Required nursing degree and RN license; BLS and additional certifications like CPI, ACLS, and PALS are expected within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice; BLS, CPI, ACLS, PALS certifications preferred or as required.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process to deliver patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching for patients and families.
• Lead and coordinate the nursing team with effective delegation and collaboration.
• Use data to evaluate care quality and drive improvements.
• Uphold privacy, safety and compliance with hospital policies.
