Job summary

Ochsner Health in Baton Rouge, LA seeks a nurse leader to oversee patient care using the nursing process within the framework of state regulations. You will coordinate the nursing team, ensure quality outcomes, and support strategic goals while promoting cultural sensitivity.

Required is RN licensure with BSN preferred, BLS, CPI, ACLS, PALS, and strong communication, organizational and leadership skills. Schedule includes 3 X 12-hr shifts; 1 PM–1 AM, with opportunities to mentor staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN license in state of practice.
• BLS, CPI, ACLS, and PALS certifications required or within 90 days of hire.
• Strong leadership, communication and teaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing leadership and coordinate care using the nursing process.
• Delegate and supervise licensed and ancillary staff.
• Ensure quality patient outcomes and regulatory compliance.
• Educate patients and families; adapt care to diverse populations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to achieve department goals.
