Job summary

You will advocate for patients and families, supporting an exceptional patient experience and outcomes across the department.

The role emphasizes pain management, timely documentation, and education for patients and caregivers, with guidance based on established nursing models and the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of RN experience required.
• ACLS must be obtained within 60 days of start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassessment after interventions.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider and document in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs to deliver exceptional care.
• Teach patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up steps.
• Educate on non-medicinal follow-up measures such as diet, exercise, disease prevention and self-management.
