Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Port Orchard Freestanding ED in Washington. The RN will deliver compassionate, high-quality care, perform assessments, and support patient recovery in a fast-paced emergency setting.

The role requires WA RN licensure, CPR at hire, and certifications such as ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC, and NRP within stated timelines. ED or critical care experience is preferred with a Bachelor of Nursing on hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• ED or critical care experience within the last 2 years.
• WA Registered Nurse at hire.
• CPR at hire; ACLS, PALS and related certifications within required timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to department and hospital policies, safety, risk management and regulatory standards.
• Keeps abreast of trends, developments and regulatory requirements within scope.
• Administers and documents medications (topically, orally, intramuscularly, subcutaneous, intravenous) per order and hospital policy.
• Assesses patients across physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral and spiritual needs.
• Gathers data relevant for patient care and tracks changes over time.
• Implements appropriate patient interventions and evaluates outcomes.
