Job summary

AdventHealth in Calhoun, Georgia seeks an experienced RN to deliver comprehensive patient care on a 3 x 12-hour weekend schedule. You will perform assessments, administer medications, provide wound care, and educate patients and families while documenting care and participating in quality improvement efforts.

Requirements include an Associate's Degree in Nursing, RN licensure, BLS, and strong communication. Bachelor's degree preferred; English fluency required.

Qualifications

• Administers all types of medications correctly per age group for all populations served according to policy.
• Demonstrates proficient technical skills and operational knowledge of unit equipment.
• Performs daily rotational task assignment as directed.
• Provides patient and family education about health conditions, treatments, and self-care practices.
• Documents/communicates clearly patient data and orders; collaborates with the healthcare team.
• Fluent in English; adheres to HIPAA and confidentiality policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather history and vital signs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans using SMART goals.
• Administer medications and treatments safely.
• Provide education to patient and family about health conditions and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with doctors, therapists, social workers, and nurses for coordinated care.
• Document care activities accurately in medical records and monitor outcomes.
