Job summary

Mercy Washington is seeking an experienced RN for the Emergency Department. This full-time role (36 hrs/week) covers nights (6:30pm–7:00am) in a 26-bed ED with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Eligible nurses may receive a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 and benefit from Mercy’s Stay Premium Program and education assistance. Benefits begin Day One and include medical, dental, and vision, PTO, retirement matching, shift differentials, and a weekend differential.

Qualifications

• Current RN license (or compact license).
• Ability to push/pull/lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS (or within 30 days), plus unit-specific certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process and maintain accountability for the assigned patients.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments and teams.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of information.
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
