HCA Healthcare's Emergency Department Nurse Educator role focuses on shaping evidence-based educational programs to elevate patient care. You will collaborate with the Director of Clinical Professional Development and lead onboarding, orientation, and competency initiatives for nursing and clinical staff at the assigned facility.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in nursing (RN licensed), BLS, and 2+ years in clinical education or leadership, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• RN license in state of practice required.
• BLS required.
• 2+ years in clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership preferred.
• 2+ years of acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Nationally recognized specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development, coordination, managing, facilitating, conducting, and evaluating onboarding and orientation programs.
• Provides orientation/onboarding to promote employee retention.
• Collaborates with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to adjust the program.
• Participates in development, coordination, and management of competency evaluation.
• Designs educational activities to address practice gaps for licensed and non-licensed staff.
• Develops activities to achieve outcomes and promote learner engagement.
• Promotes evidence-based practice and participates in research, EBP, and quality improvement.
• Identifies strategies for lifelong learning and staff development.
