Job summary

Requirements include CA RN licensure, 1 year of recent critical care or emergency department experience, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and strong communication skills. Pay range is $54.43-$71.33 per hour.

Qualifications

• Current CA RN licensure is required.
• One year of recent critical care or emergency department experience is required (training may be considered).
• Working knowledge of basic dysrhythmia.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Verbal and written communication skills and computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other practitioners as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
• Monitors medical condition of patients and reports changes to appropriate personnel.
• Reports abnormal diagnostic data to physician/shift coordinator/supervisor as appropriate.
• Demonstrates ability to perform technical nursing procedures/skills of patient care competently, seeking assistance when appropriate.
• Implements patient histories, assesses patients' conditions, and develops individualized care plans for assigned patients.
• Assesses patient educational needs and barriers to learning. Implements multidisciplinary patient education care plan and documents patient teaching.
