Job summary

Hancock Regional Hospital in Indiana is seeking a Registered Nurse to perform moderate (conscious) sedation during diagnostic or therapeutic procedures, monitor patient response, and provide necessary physiologic support. Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited ASN or BSN program.
  • ACLS within one year of hire.
  • ER PALS within two years of hire.
  • TNCC - preferred.
  • ENPC - preferred.
  • CEN - preferred.
  • SANE - preferred.
  • Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

The RN is qualified to perform a nursing intervention defined as administration of moderate sedation (conscious sedation) and can monitor the patient's response and provide necessary physiological support during a diagnostic or therapeutic procedure. The RN will receive initial education on hire in moderate sedation and will have an annual competency.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:

  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Registered Nurse (RN)

ADDITIONAL LICENSURE/CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of an accredited ASN or BSN program.
  • ACLS within one (1) year of hire
  • ER PALS within two (2) years of hire to ER.

ADDITIONAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : Mandatory Continuing Education: Customer Service, Fire and Safety, Corporate Compliance (including Confidentiality), Infection Control, and education required by regulatory, accreditation bodies, scope of practice, and/or Hancock Regional Hospital.
