Job summary

UW Medical Center-Northwest is seeking a Night Shift Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Seattle, WA. The role supports a 22-bed Level IV trauma center with a fast-paced environment and 1:4 patient ratios.

You will triage, stabilize, monitor vitals, administer meds, and work with a multidisciplinary team on trauma, cardiac, stroke, and behavioral health cases. Requirements include 1 year ED RN experience, ACLS and BLS, and WA RN licensure.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent RN experience in an Emergency Department.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• Active licensure to practice as an RN in Washington State.

Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients upon arrival.
• Stabilize patients with life-threatening injuries and illnesses.
• Monitor vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, etc.).
• Administer medications and fluids.
• Collaborate with ED physicians, trauma teams and paramedics.
• Support patients with trauma, stroke and behavioral health needs.
