Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Delaware's Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic system is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Department team. This full-time night shift (7:00 pm – 7:30 am) includes every third weekend and rotating holidays, in a Level III Trauma 27-bed ED serving Wilmington and Northern New Castle County.

Minimum qualifications include ASN with BSN preferred, Delaware RN license, ER/Acute Care experience, BLS and ACLS; PALS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Delaware.
• ER and/or Acute Care experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital nursing practice standards with patient assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Assist emergent patients and document appropriately on ER nursing tools.
• Identify patient needs based on objective data and document actions.
• Implement nursing actions tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Make decisions reflecting knowledge and sound judgment.
• Communicate with patient and family about care plans and expected outcomes; document.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to facilitate patient care delivery.
