Job summary

Citizens Health is seeking a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to work full-time night shift in the Emergency Room of Citizens Medical Center, our acute care facility in Colby, Kansas. The RN/LPN will coordinate total nursing care, teach patients and families, and collaborate with the care team under the Nurse Manager.

Requirements include Kansas nursing licensure, ER experience of at least one year, and CPR certification (or obtained within 30 days).

Qualifications

• Current Licensure by the Kansas Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of one year ER experience.
• Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using nursing process.
• Utilize assessment skills to evaluate patient and family needs.
• Plan and implement individualized care based on needs assessment.
• Administer medications in a timely and safe manner.
• Demonstrate accountability for patients' overall condition.
• Provide patient/family teaching and discharge planning.
