Job Summary and Qualifications

The Monitor Technician is responsible for equipment setup and continuous cardiac observation of telemetry patients at a centralized station. Our Telemetry Techs are dedicated to ensuring an exceptional patient experience and caring like family.

Responsibilities include:
  • Setting up telemetry equipment for new admissions as per procedures.
  • Interpreting and documenting rhythm strips regularly.
  • Reporting cardiac arrhythmias or rhythm changes to the primary nurse.
  • Reporting changes in pulse oximetry data.
  • Maintaining telemetry supplies.
Qualifications:
  • Must successfully complete the monitor technician credentialing process within the first three weeks of employment.
