Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring full-time Licensed Practical Nurses for the Emergency Department, home to Hampton Roads’ only Level I Trauma Center. This role offers a night shift from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, with every other weekend and holiday rotation required.

Ideal candidates hold an LPN license and a diploma in Licensed Practical Nursing, with prior ED experience preferred. You will work within a dynamic, high‑performing team focused on safe, patient‑centered care.

Qualifications

• LPN license required.
• Degree or diploma in Licensed Practical Nursing required.
• Experience in Emergency Department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent and routine nursing care in a high‑volume Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to deliver timely, high‑quality care.
• Monitor patient status, administer medications, document findings, and assist with complex trauma cases.
