Cerro Alto Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital is seeking an ER/ICU Relief Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital in San Luis Obispo. You will work alongside emergency doctors and support staff, providing hands-on patient care, assisting with emergency cases, and monitoring hospitalized patients in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold current RVT license.
• Experience in emergency or specialty settings preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Triage and intake patients, obtain histories, and present cases to the emergency doctor.
• Perform and assist with diagnostics, laboratory tests, and imaging.
• Provide nursing care and monitoring for hospitalized patients.
• Provide hands-on care for emergency and critical patients, including monitoring and interventions.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
