Animal Emergency & Referral Associates (AERA) in West Caldwell, NJ seeks a Veterinary Technician, Training Lead ER & CC to advance nursing excellence. The ECC Training Lead provides advanced clinical support, mentors staff, and drives training initiatives within the Nursing Department.

Qualifications

Must be a CVT, RVT, LVT, or VTS with minimum mentorship experience (3+ years).
Emergency medicine experience preferred; specialty experience is a plus.
Fluent English (speaking and reading) required; multilingual skills a bonus.
Open to giving and receiving feedback; able to work with and without supervision.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate and promote a positive culture and encouraging work environment.
Mentor staff and assist with high-acuity hospitalized patient management.
Advanced anesthesia monitoring, ventilator management, blood transfusions, central line management, and critical care monitoring.
Lead training initiatives, track competency progress, and coordinate CE sessions and wet labs.
Assist with onboarding and provide feedback for staff evaluations.
Support hospital marketing and growth through active participation in events.
