Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Emergency Medical Technician Certificate and IV Therapy Certificate or EMTA/EMTI/Paramedic Certificate required.
• Preferred: 1 year healthcare experience (prehospital, ED and/or patient care).

Responsibilities

• Communicates with RN and Physician regarding patient/family observations to assist in treatment.
• Performs IV insertion, splinting, wound care, etc., as directed by the RN or physician.
• Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect within a collaborative team.
• Accurately documents tasks, observations, and procedures in patient records.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient charts and records.
• Collaborates with medicine, nursing, and other healthcare professionals on plan of care, follow-up, and evaluation.
