Job summary

Riverside University Health System Medical Center in Moreno Valley, CA is seeking a per diem overnight Clinical Pharmacist I to oversee workflow, ensure safe dispensing, monitor therapy and support the RUHS Emergency Department Pharmacy residency program. The role involves 12-hour night shifts, collaboration with medical staff, and participation in ongoing quality improvement.

Qualifications

Graduation from a School of Pharmacy accredited by the ACPE with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D.).
One year of pharmacy residency preferred.
Knowledge of federal, Board of Pharmacy, Joint Commission and DHS laws and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Function as a dispensing pharmacist in outpatient and/or inpatient settings.
Answer distributive and clinical questions; compound prescriptions and special orders as needed.
Perform pharmacokinetic analysis of selected medications with narrow therapeutic ranges.
Check in/out controlled substances and maintain documentation; monitor drug therapy.
Supervise and direct the work of supportive pharmacy personnel when needed.
Collaborate with nurses, physicians and other healthcare providers for optimal patient care.
Participate in training programs and performance improvement activities.
