Job summary

Qualifications

• PMAB or CPI training within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 6 months recent emergency room nursing experience.
• All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Strong teamwork and patient advocacy abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement an individual plan of care.
• Assess, plan, intervene and advocate for patients throughout the continuum of care.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and readiness for discharge; revise plans or make referrals as needed.
• Serve as a role model and mentor to students and newer staff; act as a Patient Care Coordinator as requested.
