Job summary

Memorial Hospital Belleville, part of the Memorial Hospital system within BJC, is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care in an acute care setting. You will perform assessments, plan, implement and evaluate care in accordance with nursing standards.

The role emphasizes patient- and family-centered care, education, and collaboration with an interprofessional team. Minimum requirements include a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s in Nursing and RN license; a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and their families on illness/injury management, post-treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
• Communicates the plan of care across the continuum of care and uses nursing assessment to address physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and population-specific needs.
