Job summary

CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking a Charge Nurse ER for a full-time role. The position leads an emergency department team, coordinates staffing, and ensures safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting.

Applicants should be an RN with BRN approval and at least two years of acute care experience; BSN is preferred. Must hold or obtain BLS, ACLS, PALS, and other state requirements. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a BRN approved nursing program.
• Two years RN experience in an acute care environment.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications.
• Basic EKG and Los Angeles County Fire Card required within 30 days of hire.
• ARC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs, reviews, assigns and organizes the work of at least three staff including RN.
• Implements nursing mission and values in daily practice.
• Coordinates department operations and delegates tasks appropriately.
• Acts as resource, preceptor and mentor to staff and students.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, procedures and standards.
• Participates in patient flow, admission and discharge processes.
