Job summary

Willamette Valley Medical Center in McMinnville, OR is seeking a Charge Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department for FT Night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). The role supervises staff, delivers direct patient care as needed, and helps ensure safe, high-quality care in a busy ED.

The ED features a 4:1 patient ratio, 21 beds, and Level IV trauma center designation, with opportunities for professional growth and access to comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school.
• BLS and advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS, TNCC) are required.
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• Active state RN license and appropriate licensure are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor nursing and support staff during the shift.
• Determine staffing levels and assignments based on census, acuity, and staff availability.
• Provide direct patient care as needed and coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are available to provide safe, high-quality patient care; integrate evidence-based practices.
