Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for the Emergency Department at Baptist South in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time position assists Registered Nurses with patient care, documentation in the EMR, and daily duties to support ED operations.

Required are a High School Diploma, BLS, and EMT or CNA licenses. Hospital and patient care experience are preferred to help ensure safe, efficient care in a busy ED setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• BLS Certification (AHA) required.
• Licensed EMT or CNA required.
• Associates degree preferred for advancement where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist RNs in the Emergency Department with patient care and daily tasks.
• Maintain a safe patient environment and monitor intake/output.
• Collect lab specimens and document in the EMR.
• Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to support ED operations.
