Job summary

Ochsner Health seeks a nurse supervisor in the emergency department to lead care delivery on the unit. You will coordinate licensed nurses and patient care technicians, supervise interventions, and support performance evaluation for staff within your span of control.

This role requires a BSN, an active RN license in the state of practice, and BLS certification, with 1 year of RN experience or 2 years as an LPN in acute care. You will ensure quality care and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires BSN with RN licensure; BSN preferred for Magnet facilities.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; or 2 years as an LPN in acute care.
• BLS certification and RN license required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide care at point of care within the unit.
• Coordinate and delegate nursing care with licensed staff and technicians.
• Evaluate staff performance and support staff development.
• Promote evidence-based nursing protocols and clinical practice guidelines.
• Ensure staffing, scheduling, and supplies meet patient care needs.
