Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice; BLS certification.
• 1 year of relevant experience as a registered nurse or 2 years as an LPN in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Treats critical injuries, trauma, and responds to medical emergencies.
• Organizes, plans, supervises, and coordinates patient care within the unit.
• Supervises and evaluates assigned departmental staff nurses and technicians.
• Promotes the adoption of nursing protocols and clinical practice guidelines to support evidence-based practice.
• Manages scheduling, staffing, and appropriate clinical supplies and resources on the unit.
• Maintains compliance with laws, regulations and standards.
