Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking an ER Advanced Paramedic to provide direct patient care under RN direction. Responsibilities include vital signs, EKGs, IV management, wound care, and patient immobilization in a high-volume ED.

Requirements include state paramedic licensure, EMT-P, ACLS/BCLS/PALS certifications, and at least 1 year of EMS or hospital experience. The role supports a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth within HCA Midwest Health.

Qualifications

• State Paramedic license is required.
• ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications must be obtained within stated timeframes.
• Minimum 1 year of EMS field experience or hospital-based clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document vital signs and monitor systems.
• Assist with EKGs, IV care, and specimen handling for labs.
• Assist with wound care, dressings, immobilization, and device placement.
• Document procedures and vital signs concisely.
• Stock and clean treatment areas and supply carts.
• Provide written patient and family education.
