ER 12-Hour Night Shift RN – Acute Care

Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week ER assignment. A valid US RN license, 2+ years in the Emergency Department, and BLS/ACLS/PALS are required. Night shifts are 12-hour blocks with 36 hours per shift in a 12-bed ED supported by in-house RT and hospitalists.

Responsibilities include bedside phlebotomy, IV starts, chest tubes, EKGs, telemetry, and care for a wide age range from neonates to geriatrics. Weekend rotations and variable holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and bedside tasks.
• Night shift availability required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care in a 12-bed ED unit.
• Perform phlebotomy, IV starts, chest tubes as needed.
• Monitor telemetry and manage patient ratios per acuity.
• Collaborate with hospitalists and in-house RT.
• Weekend rotation and holiday expectations.
• Charting using an EMR system.
