Job summary

Waggoner Financial in Lansing, MI is seeking a student or early-career research assistant to support the investment team with fundamental analysis, earnings review, and market tracking. You will help build and maintain financial models and prepare summaries for investment committees.

Qualifications

• Coursework in equity valuation, corporate finance, or portfolio theory.
• Progress toward CFA® designation or interest in CFA® program.
• Prior experience with financial modeling or investment research.

Responsibilities

• Assist with company and sector research, including fundamental analysis and earnings review.
• Support the investment team in building and maintaining financial models.
• Track market developments, economic data, and portfolio holdings.
• Help prepare research summaries and investment committee materials.
• Conduct due diligence on securities and funds under consideration for client portfolios.
• Assist with performance monitoring and benchmarking of existing holdings.
