Job summary

Citi Research in New York, NY is seeking an experienced equity/credit research professional for a full-time role supporting senior analysts. You will help maintain models, perform deep dive notes, and assist in publishing earnings previews and initiations, coordinating with management teams and external consultants.

The position offers a hybrid work model with development opportunities across Citi's global network, strong writing expectations, and a focus on independence and objective insights

Qualifications

• 5-8 years experience in Equity or Credit Research.
• MBA or CFA preferred.
• Strong accounting and modelling knowledge.
• Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information.
• Citi Research focuses on delivering high quality investment insights to investors on a global basis with a high emphasis on independence and objectivity in its products and insights
• The unit produces regular written research, hosts investor meetings with company management teams, holds conference calls with industry consultants and regularly communicates with clients (both internal and external)
• Modeling: Maintaining & updating existing company models; creating new models; maintaining relative value sheets
• Research: Assist with the publication of earnings previews/recaps, initiation reports, deep dive notes as well other group products
• Communication: Assist with client inquiries and requests (internal and external)
• Events: Assist with coordination of investor meetings (management meeting & field trips) and conference calls with consultants
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 5- 8 years previous experience
• MBA or graduate degree and/or CFA preferred.
• Experience in Equity or Credit Research in relevant sector preferred
• Good knowledge of accounting and modelling
• Experience in supporting senior equity research analysts
• Excellent inter-personal and writing skills
• Attention to detail
• Secure and maintain applicable licenses
• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
