Job summary

Bank of Montreal (BMO) is seeking an Equity Research Associate for its Utilities, Power & Renewables team in the US. The role involves building complex financial models, analyzing sector data, and producing research reports with investment theses.

You will collaborate with senior analysts to develop and market research products and engage with management teams on visits and meetings. Ideal candidates have equity research experience (utilities/power/renewables) with a solid accounting/finance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; CFA designation is a plus.
• Fully licensed equity research professional with several years of experience.
• Strong financial background and ability to develop and support new research in utilities/power/renewables.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed company models (IS/BS/CF).
• Analyze financial statements and industry data to inform equity research.
• Review filings (10-K, 10-Q) and transcripts; write equity research reports.
• Form investment theses and present recommendations to clients.
• Participate in site visits and engage with management.
