Equity Research Associate- Semiconductors

Role Overview

Wolfe Research is seeking an experienced Associate to join its NY-based Institutional Investor-ranked Semiconductors Team. Reporting to the Senior Analyst, the candidate will assist in modeling, note writing, and creating differentiated research analyses. Responsibilities will expand to include client communication, sales/traders interaction, and participating in the creative process. The role demands accuracy, attention to detail, critical thinking, and strong skills in writing, modeling, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience in equity research, investment banking, public accounting, consulting, or industry experience in semiconductors is preferred.

Responsibilities & Professional Experience

• Generate ideas, communicate effectively in a time-sensitive environment, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and draft reports on investment themes, events, and news.
• Work creatively and solve problems by sourcing and processing large data sets in Excel/Access independently.
• Communicate clearly and concisely in writing.
• Utilize technical skills such as Bloomberg and/or FactSet, advanced Excel functions, and statistical analysis; build and update financial and valuation models.

Minimum Requirements

• 1-3 years of sell-side research experience, preferably in Semiconductors, or related fields like buy-side, investment banking, public accounting, consulting, or industry experience.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Math, or Statistics from an accredited institution; MBA, CPA, or CFA is a plus.
• Advanced financial modeling skills, including 3-statement model development and maintenance.
• Fully licensed with Series 7, 63, 86 & 87 preferred or expected to be completed within 6 months.
• Excellent communication skills, a passion for the stock market, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum GPA of 3.5; willingness to work long hours including some weekends.

Wolfe Research offers a competitive salary range of $95,000-$120,000, along with bonuses, benefits, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
