Job summary

Piper Sandler & Co. in New York City seeks an Equity Research Associate for its Large Cap Banks team. You will partner with a senior analyst to research banks, build models, write reports and develop investment ideas.

Expect to meet management teams, attend conferences, and contribute to market research and marketing of findings. The role requires 1–3 years in equity research or investment banking, strong financial modeling, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of equity research or investment banking experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work quickly and independently in a demanding environment.
• Strong interest in the stock market with a track record of achievement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills.
• Proven quantitative abilities and strong organizational skills.
• A competitive spirit balanced with teamwork.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, EE or related field.
• Strong financial modeling experience; SIE required, Series 86/87 preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Progress toward CFA designation is a plus.

Responsibilities
