Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in sell-side research, buy-side research, investment banking, valuation, or a related analytical role.
• Demonstrated interest in pursuing a long-term career in sell-side Equity Research, with a passion for fundamental research and investing.
• Strong accounting, finance and valuation knowledge, including building three-statement financial models from a blank Excel worksheet.
• Exceptional attention to detail with accuracy across research products.
• Strong research skills to evaluate and synthesize information from multiple sources.
• Self-starter with ownership mentality and proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Equity Research team to conduct fundamental research within Business & Information Services, covering ~30 public companies.
• Develop, maintain and enhance detailed financial models, earnings analyses, industry databases and forecasts.
• Serve as a lead associate on assigned stocks with responsibility for modeling, earnings analysis, and research production.
• Conduct independent primary and secondary research using filings, industry sources and proprietary data to identify opportunities and risks.
• Monitor developments and macro trends to identify investment implications and new ideas for the team.
• Contribute to research reports, thematic projects, client presentations and thought leadership.
• Communicate investment views with Equities Sales, institutional investors and management teams.
• Identify emerging topics and develop differentiated insights for the team’s product.
• Collaborate to maintain a supportive, intellectual, long-term professional development culture.
