Publish proprietary equity research in industries aligned to the firm's Banking sectors, demonstrating the firm's expertise in the sector.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Create and publish proprietary equity research content in designated industry with stock recommendations (Buy, Hold, Sell) to institutional buy-side clients.
2. Conduct due diligence and provide industry expertise for capital markets equity transactions and initiate C-suite corporate access resources to institutional equity clients.
3. Initiate C-suite corporate access resources to institutional clients, including non-deal roadshows, conferences, field trips, bus tours, and conference calls.
4. Conduct independent industry assessments and company-specific research reports.
5. Engage with corporate client relationships at the highest C-Level (CEO, President, COO, CFO, Director of Strategy, etc).

Level-specific duties:

1. Collaborate closely with senior analysts in research production and publication processes.
2. Conduct macro, industry, and individual company research.
3. Build financial models including market forecasts, revenue, EPS, and cash flow at the company level.
4. Perform financial and valuation analyses.
5. Develop investment ideas.
6. Write draft research commentary.
7. Depending on experience, work with Capital Markets, sales, and trading to leverage research into the client base.
8. Maintain active dialogue with covered companies as appropriate.
9. Assist institutional clients in leveraging research products.

Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree
• Licenses: SIE, Series 7 (or Top Off), Series 63, Series 87, and either Series 86 or CFA II waiver
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience or academic study beyond BA/BS
• Strong mastery of financial and accounting concepts for modeling
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical and sales skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced Degree and/or CFA Designation
• 6+ years of related work experience
• Experience in mentoring and coaching

- The annual base salary for this position in New York is $160,000.
