Job summary

Yorkville Ives & Co. seeks an Equity Research Associate to support the Energy & Power Solutions team. You will assist the Senior Analyst, ramp coverage, and collaborate with counterparts across the merchant bank on energy-related projects.

You will build and forecast detailed financial models, analyze scenarios, and develop tools to extract insights. The role emphasizes relationships with executives and industry contacts while delivering clear, timely research content.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in equity or fixed income research (buy- or sell-side) or investment banking.
• Willingness to obtain FINRA SIE: Series 86, 87, and 16 licenses
• Advanced Excel for company modeling and financial analysis
• Industrious and resilient work ethic with a team-oriented mindset
• Efficient, clear verbal and written communication skills
• Hands-on experience with Python and AI assistants is a plus
• Hybrid initially with a varying requirement to commute into NYC

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and forecast detailed company earnings models (P&L, cash flow statement, and balance sheet)
• Develop and apply analytical tools to extract insights, extrapolate trends, and evaluate scenarios
• Cultivate relationships with company executives and industry contacts
• Develop a deep knowledge base in and understanding of energy and power ecosystems
• Synthesize, write, and edit factual content for research reports with deadlines
• Communicate with both internal and external clients
