Job summary

Zacks Investment Research is seeking a junior to mid-level Equity Research Analyst to cover technology, fintech, and consumer tech. This remote, U.S.-based role offers a compensation range of $100,000–$150,000 based on experience.

The analyst will build models, write initiation reports, and analyze metrics across software, fintech, data analytics, and related industries. You will participate in management calls, industry research, and client interactions while collaborating with senior analysts

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of equity research, investment banking, or related experience.
• Experience in the technology, fintech, or consumer tech sectors.
• Strong accounting and financial modeling skills.
• Experience or interest in small/micro-cap equities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental equity research on an assigned coverage list, including financial modeling and valuation (DCF, comparables, and multiples-based analysis).
• Write clear, concise initiation reports, company updates, and event-driven notes.
• Analyze operating metrics and unit economics, including recurring revenue, retention, customer acquisition costs, and transaction volumes.
• Monitor technology trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments affecting covered companies.
• Participate in management calls, industry research, and client interactions.
• Work closely with senior analysts on sector research and new coverage.

Equity Research Analyst – Technology, Fintech and Consumer Tech (Junior–Mid Level)

Location: Remote / U.S.-based preferred

Compensation: $100,000 – $150,000 (based on experience)

Zacks Investment Research is seeking a highly motivated Equity Research Analyst to join our growing paid research division, covering small- and micro-cap companies in technology, fintech, and consumer tech. The division supports a diverse base of 110 institutional and corporate clients.

This role is ideal for a junior to mid-level analyst with strong financial modeling skills, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for equity markets, particularly small- and micro-cap companies in software, fintech, AI and data analytics, consumer and entertainment technology, IoT, and related industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct fundamental equity research on an assigned coverage list, including financial modeling and valuation (DCF, comparables, and multiples-based analysis)
