Job summary

Morningstar Credit Ratings, LLC is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to lead a U.S. growth strategy within the Select Equities team. The role focuses on building high-conviction portfolios of 25–50 stocks, with Chicago as the preferred location and openness to qualified candidates in other locations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of professional investment experience, with at least 5 years on the buyside.
  • Strong preference for experience as a portfolio manager or in analyzing growth companies.

  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in learning new subjects, industries, and companies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent critical-thinking skills focused on company analysis and valuation.

Role Overview

The Select Equities team manages six distinct separate account strategies with a combined $10billion of AUA as of Dec.31, 2025. We are looking to add an experienced investment professional to serve as a Portfolio Manager for our U.S. growth strategy. The team constructs high‑conviction portfolios, each holding 25‑50 stocks. While Chicago is the preferred location, we welcome qualified candidates in other locations.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual base salary and target incentive total cash compensation range: $195,600.00–$299,916.66.
