Qualifications

• 2+ years of full-time teaching experience (outside of substitute teaching) in an urban setting strongly preferred
• Pennsylvania State certification Level I or II strongly preferred. If uncertified, must enroll in a PA-approved certification program within one year of hire
• Complete all required criminal and child abuse background checks prior to start date: PA State Police Clearance, PA Child Abuse Clearance, Cogent Federal Fingerprinting

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, engaging daily lessons aligned to provided curricula/resources
• Infuse school values into daily instruction and manage classroom culture
• Maintain a productive, organized, safe learning environment
• Regularly analyze student work and adjust instruction based on data
• Maintain accurate student grades/communication with families regarding progress
• Collaborate with grade teams and participate in professional development
• Attend designated school functions and support school events

Education

Pennsylvania State certification Level I or II

PA-approved certification program within one year of hire
