Job summary

RWJF is seeking a Program Associate for the Healthy Children and Families portfolio in Princeton, NJ, to advance health equity through operations, program development, and grants management. You will support leadership, conduct research, and coordinate collaborations with grantees, consultants, and partners.

As a member of the HCF team, you will center equity in grantmaking and program design, contributing to RWJF’s Generational Goals and commitment to dismantling structural barriers to health.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated deep social justice values and commitment to the practice of racial justice, equitable philanthropic practices, and RWJF’s vision.
• Professional commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including commitment to and experience working with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
• Strong understanding of structural barriers to health and commitment to building equitable and antiracist practices.
• Two years of related programmatic experience or a master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented, and demonstrated ability to successfully manage timelines and projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate program operations, meetings, and internal communications.
• Support grantmaking processes including reviews and proposals.
• Develop and manage program plans and events.
• Engage grantees and external partners.
• Monitor grants and report on initiatives.
• Represent RWJF publicly and build relationships.
