Job summary

Bend-La Pine Schools in Bend, Oregon, is seeking a School Social Worker to provide assessment, intervention, and coordination of services to support students' academic success and social-emotional well-being. Under supervision of the Student Services department, you will collaborate with families, staff, and community partners to promote equitable access to services and strengthen home-school connections.

This temporary position through June 2027 requires an Oregon school social worker license,

Qualifications

Eligibility for Oregon School Social Worker license (TSPC).
Ability to obtain Medicaid provider number.
Knowledge of school social work laws and child welfare.
Strong communication and collaboration with families and staff.

Responsibilities

Provide assessment, intervention, consultation and coordination of services to support students' success.
Develop referral systems, conduct assessments affecting learning and outcomes.
Provide individual and group counseling, case management and crisis intervention.
Monitor attendance, behavior and academic progress to identify barriers.
Collaborate with families, staff, FAN Advocates and community partners.
