Job summary

DOHMH has an opening for a Policy and Implementation Strategist who will report to the Director of Policy and Implementation in the division of Administration. The role will provide guidance on administrative improvements and equity-focused policy work across the agency.

The ideal candidate will have a public policy background, strong execution skills, and experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders to support workforce development and emergency readiness. The position ends November 2027.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in policy, government, administration or related fields.
• Familiarity with Human Resources applications and policies.
• Experience in project management.
• Proactive and self-motivated with ability to work in diverse, multi-stakeholder environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify systemic issues and opportunities for staffing improvements and readiness agency-wide.
• Collaborate with HR Central and Worksite Wellness on benefits and programs.
• Provide administrative and project support to the Director of Policy and Implementation.
• Document needs and research best practices to advocate for workforce changes.
• Promote pay equity and justice across the division and agency.
• Support Division-wide engagement activities and communications.
