Qualifications

• Completion of Oregon teaching license with endorsement.
• Ability to teach students to be successful learners.
• Experience with student assessment and progress reporting.

Responsibilities

• Identify the needs of individual students by continuous assessment of their abilities.
• Plan and implement instructional plans to address identified needs.
• Write instructional plans for lessons and units.
• Use diverse methods and materials to execute instructional plans.
• Manage the classroom to create optimal learning conditions.
• Apply learning theory to meet student needs.
• Evaluate and report student progress to stakeholders.
• Assist with planning and conducting parent conferences.
• Participate in professional development activities.
• Provide plans for and supervise educational assistants.
• Supervise students in and out of the classroom.
• Initiate and maintain communication with colleagues.
• Assist in assessing building level needs and planning improvements.
• Attend meetings and serve on committees as directed.
• Fulfill all responsibilities assigned to the Classroom Teacher.
