Summary

The Equal Opportunity Investigator is responsible for investigating complaints related to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Affirmative Action (AA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Title IX to determine whether University actions violated policies or laws. This position is temporary, lasting approximately three months, and is approved as remote.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of human resource practices, including recruitment, testing, classification, compensation, EEO/affirmative action, employee relations, labor relations, employee development, and performance management.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws and civil rights regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and confidentiality skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree, conflict resolution, and mediation certification.
• Certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
