Job summary

Katalyst Space seeks a hands-on Director of Finance to own the company’s full finance operating rhythm, including monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, AP/AR, and financial reporting. You will implement scalable processes, controls, and reporting cadences while guiding a growing finance team.

The role reports to the VP of Operations and partners with leaders across the organization to drive strategic financial decisions and preserve runway in a venture-backed environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 8+ years of experience across accounting, controllership, or related finance role.
• CPA preferred and GAAP knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function end-to-end, building scalable processes.
• Own monthly close, reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting.
• Manage cash flow, budget, forecast, and runway modelling.
• Develop internal controls and GAAP-compliant finance infrastructure.
• Prepare management and investor reporting and KPI dashboards.
