Analyst - Long/Short Equity (Single Manager style)

Sector coverage: Consumer Discretionary

New York (5 days pw in office)

Our client, a major hedge fund managing tens of billions in AUM, seeks an early/mid-career L/S Equity Analyst covering US Consumer equities, ideally with a Consumer Discretionary focus.

You will be joining a multibillion fundamental equities division, which invests Single Manager L/S style. This is a rare opportunity to do long duration, high conviction, deep-dive investment with an experienced team of Tier 1 pedigree.

About you

• Proven specialism in US Consumer Equities.
• We will prioritise candidates currently working in L/S Equity, but other buyside profiles will be considered (Long Only, Private Equity), especially where deep fundamental analysis skills are evident.
• Strong critical thinking and deep analytical skills are vital, as well as a capacity to independently generate investment ideas.

Package

• Compensation is primarily loaded on to the annual performance-related component, and will be highly competitive.
• Base salary ranging from 180,000 to 260,000 USD dependent on experience, with multiples paid out in bonus.
