Job summary

Mizuho is seeking a senior program leader to drive strategic project delivery and AI-enabled business transformations across the Equities franchise. The role coordinates Front Office, Risk, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Technology, and external stakeholders to advance the AI and automation agenda.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of experience in project management, business transformation, consulting, strategy, or COO functions.
• Experience working within Capital Markets, Equities, Sales & Trading, Investment Banking, or Financial Services.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent strategic initiatives in a dynamic environment.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to operate independently, navigate ambiguity, and drive results.
• This position requires a minimum of four (4) days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

• Drive execution of strategic Equities initiatives across Financing, Derivatives, and broader Equities businesses.
• Develop and manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communications.
• Establish and oversee project governance, status reporting, action tracking, and escalation processes.
• Proactively drive project execution, resolve issues, and manage risks to ensure initiatives are delivered on time.
• Partner with senior business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into executable workstreams.
• Identify and drive opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and workflow optimization across the Equities franchise.
• Partner with business and technology teams to develop and implement AI-enabled solutions.
• Evaluate and prioritize AI use cases based on business impact and ROI.
• Support adoption of AI tools that improve front-office productivity, client servicing, workflow efficiency, and operating leverage.
• Establish a pipeline of automation and transformation initiatives aligned to Equities objectives.
• Coordinate initiatives across Front Office, Operations, Risk, Finance, Compliance, Technology, and Control Functions.
