Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Yard Technician in Gonzales, LA, to keep facilities clean and organized and to learn and grow within the equipment rental industry.

You will load/unload equipment, verify tickets, maintain gear, and assist customers with guidance on selection and operation. This role offers learning opportunities and potential career growth into roles such as Driver, Mechanic, or Sales and Operations Coordinator.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors when required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload internal truck drivers, outside haulers and customers.
• Verify delivery tickets and returns for accuracy.
• Clean, maintain, and organize heavy equipment and machinery.
• Review orders and stage equipment for drivers.
• Perform routine checks on rental equipment to ensure safety.
• Maintain a clean and organized yard and work area.
• Answer and resolve customer questions.
• Provide customers with expert advice on equipment selection, operation and maintenance.
• Support all team members.
