Job summary

Owen Equipment in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a full-time Yard Associate to support daily branch operations. You will maintain the equipment yard, stage and move equipment, inspect, fuel, load and unload, and assist with service, rental, sales, parts, and delivery activities.

The role requires safety focus, reliable follow-through, good communication, and comfort working outdoors year-round around heavy equipment and vehicles. Standard Monday–Friday schedule with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation and basic yard handling knowledge.
• Experience in yard, warehouse, equipment, or logistics helpful.
• Bilingual or strong communication is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the equipment yard, storage areas, walkways and lanes in a clean, safe condition.
• Stage, park, retrieve, reposition, load and unload equipment and attachments with equipment as required.
• Assist customers, drivers, technicians, rental staff, sales staff, and vendors with yard activity and branch support.
• Perform basic yard checks: location, visible damage, fuel levels, and service needs.
• Help with general yard upkeep including mowing and debris removal.
