Job summary

PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an Equipment & Tool Engineer 3 in Everett, WA to develop and specify equipment and tooling for aerospace build requirements. You will interact on the production floor with mechanics, safety and tool makers, performing design reviews and creating drawings.

A BS in engineering and 3+ years of related experience are required; 5+ years preferred; ASME/NBIC knowledge is a plus. We offer a challenging production engineering role with emphasis on safety, quality and on-time

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of related work experience.
• Willingness to work on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and develops equipment and tooling concepts and specifications to satisfy aerospace product design and build requirements.
• Performs tool liaison activities to support tool fabrication and production use
• Participates in design reviews, collects design requirements, creates and revises drawings and models to support the build plan.
• Creates specifications and purchase requests for the acquisition of new equipment and tooling from external vendors
• Checks designs for compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
• Develops and documents equipment and tooling inspection and usage instructions, preventative maintenance plans, and supports user training development.
• Manages budgets and schedules to deliver equipment and tooling solutions to customers
